Sunday Church School

(In session September through May)

   Christian Education begins early at Trinity. The Nursery Class, for children ages one day through three years, provides a warm, nurturing environment for our youngest children. The children learn about God and the church through a variety of learning activities, including stories, songs, crafts, and interactive workbooks.

   The Kindergarten Class provides learning for children ages 4 through Kindergarten. The curriculum focuses on God, the life of Jesus, and the Bible through a variety of activities.    

   The Primary Class provides instruction for Grades 1 & 2. Primary children begin to learn Bible verses along with stories and workbooks. Class discussions help teachers and children to further understand Biblical stories and concepts.

    The Middler Class, Grades 3 & 4, learns more advanced Biblical concepts and verses. Instructors help the children begin to integrate Christian principles in their everyday life.

   The Junior Class, Grades 5 & 6, continues this process of helping children integrate their Biblical knowledge into their daily lives.

  The Confirmation Class meets during Sunday School as well as Wednesday nights (for two twelve week terms). The two year class helps prepare Junior High youth (Grades 7 & 8) for faithful lives in Christ, and to be responsible members of Trinity U.C.C. The instructors and assistants work with the pastors to teach Biblical beliefs and the history and traditions of the United Church of Christ. Through a new "mentoring" program, class discussions, volunteer service and youth activities, the church helps the teens to live a Christian life in a secular world.

   In the Senior High Class, youth in Grades 9-12 are encouraged to take what they have learned throughout their years in Church School and begin to apply it in a more comprehensive way in their daily lives.  Class members discuss how the Bible and their Christian community can help them to handle the stresses of everyday life and to fulfill the plans God is revealing to them for their present and future.

   At Trinity, Sunday Church School is not just for children!  Our Adult Classes provide diverse opportunities for adults to continue to grow in their walk with God.  The format, duration and content of the classes vary throughout the year.
