Adult Ministries
Trinity offers many opportunities for adults to learn and grow in Christ, as well as to enjoy fellowship with other Christians. Listed below are a few of our Adult Ministiries:
Prayer Ministry
The strength and power of the church is released through its Prayer Ministry. We ask God to pour out his spirit and provide direction through our prayer requests. The Prayer Ministry meets for intercessory prayer on the first Tuesday of each month. A Prayer Chain is available to circulate prayers for emergency needs, and a Prayer List is printed weekly for non-emergency needs. Persons who have prayer needs should call the church office at 610-779-4030.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
A new ministry was started in 2008 in which members of the congregation knit and crochet Prayer Shawls that are given to people in times of crises or special needs in their lives. Members gather once per month for fellowship and to share about how participating in this ministry has touched their lives. If you knit or crochet (or would like to learn!), call the church office at 610-779-4030 to find out when the next gathering is. Contact persons for this ministry are Jean VonNieda and Karen Schearer.
In His Name Ministry
Our food pantry, located at 705 Friedensburg Road provides food assistance to residents of the East Reading area. The pantry is open the first Wednesday night of each month from 6:30 - 8:30PM. In His Name is always looking for volunteers to unload, store and sort groceries, and also to assist clients who come to the pantry. Contact the director, Diane Carter, at the church office (610-779-4030) to volunteer.
